     Transmission type

     Common automotive automatic transmission has three types: hydraulic automatic transmission (AT), mechanical stepless automatic transmission (CVT), electronically controlled mechanical automatic transmission (AMT), dual clutch transmission (DSG). At present, the most widely used is the AT, AT has almost become synonymous with automatic transmission.

     AT is composed of hydraulic torque converter, gear and hydraulic control system components, through the hydraulic transmissionand gear combination to achieve speed and torque. Hydraulic torque converter is one of the most important components, it round by the pump, turbine and guide wheel and other components, both off and the transmission of torque.

Compared with AT, CVT eliminates the need for a geartransmission is complex and heavy, but the two groups of pulleytransmission. The speed by changing the driving wheel and the driven wheel contact radius of the drive belt. Canceled because of gear, so the transmission ratio can change, speed more smoothly,without shifting sense of the sudden jump.
