The Classification of stepless transmission

   In order to realize stepless speed, driving mode can be adopted according to the liquid transmission, power transmission and mechanical transmission in three ways.

    Fluid drive

    Liquid transmission is divided into two categories: one category is the hydraulic transmission device, mainly by the pump and motoror is composed of a valve and pump, suitable for small and medium power transmission. Another kind is hydraulic type, adopts hydraulic coupler or hydraulic torque of transmission, suitable for high power (kW). 

    The main characteristics of liquid transmission is:speed range, can absorb the impact and prevent overload, high transmission efficiency, long service life, easy to realize automation: high precision manufacturing, the more expensive price, output characteristics for constant torque, sliding rate,operation is easy to leak oil.

    Power transmission is basically divided into three categories: one category is the electromagnetic sliding type, it is in the asynchronous motor installed in electromagnetic slip clutch, by changing the excitation current to speed, which belongs to a kind of relatively backward speed. The characteristics of simple structure, low cost, convenient operation and maintenance: sliding,low efficiency, serious fever, not suitable for long-term load operation, it is generally used for small power transmission. The two category is the DC motor type, by changing the magnetic flux or change the armature voltage to achieve speed. Its characteristic is the speed range, the precision is higher, but the equipment is complex, high cost, difficult maintenance,

    Generally used for medium power range (tens to hundreds ofkilowatts), has gradually been AC motor type substitution. Three kinds of AC motor type is, through the change pole, voltage and frequency conversion speed. The most practical application forvariable frequency speed control, which uses a transformer to obtain amplitude power supply, then the driving motor speed. Its characteristic is good speed performance, range, high efficiency,automatic control, small size, suitable for a wide range of power:mechanical properties in single reducing speed constant torque,low efficiency and low speed running is not stable, the price is higher, need a professional repair. In recent years, the inverter as a transmission equipment advanced, excellent rapid development,has a great impact on the mechanical cvt.

    The main characteristic of the mechanical transmission is: speed,small sliding rate, reliable work, with constant power mechanical properties, high transmission efficiency, and has the advantages of simple structure, convenient repair, the price is relatively cheap;but parts processing and lubrication requirements higher, low bearing capacity, anti over load and poor impact resistance, it is generally suitable for in, small power transmission.
