The Nature and Classification of Transmission Chain

    First, the Transmission Chain drive the machine, the commonly used transmission member has pulleys, gears, worm turbine, gear rack and screw nut.   Second, the Transmission Chain generally contains two types of transmission: one is the direction of transmission and the transmission ratio of the transmission mechanism are fixed, such as fixed-ratio gears, worm turbine vice, etc., known as fixed-ratio drive mechanism; another is based on the processing requirements can change the direction of the transmission ratio and the drive transmission mechanism, such as hanging wheel gear mechanism, the sliding gear transmission mechanism, etc., known displacement mechanism.

   Third, according to the nature of the transmission link, transmission chain can be divided into two categories:
  （1）The inner Transmission chain link it to contact the movement of the actuator itself (for rotary and linear movement) based on the motion analysis, the same part of a separate trip movement, and thus the implementation of relative motion between the components to stringent requirements. Contact with the nature of such transmission chain, drive chain, drive chain called inner contact. So contact within the instantaneous transmission chain in uncertain or changing the transmission ratio of the transmission mechanism, such as the belt drive, chain drive, friction drive and so on. For example, in horizontal lathe threaded connection between the threaded spindle and turret drive gear ratio is a contact within the strict requirements of the transmission chain, it can ensure the desired pitch and get the thread.
  （2）The outer contact contact sport Transmission chain which is the source and the machine actuator between the drive chain. It enables the actuator to obtain a predetermined speed of movement, and a power drive, but does not require the original motion between the source and perform a strict relationship between the transmission ratio. Contact transmission chain outside the transmission ratio changes are only affect productivity and surface roughness, the surface does not affect the formation of the shape.
